Sri Vajrakshetra

Our Yearly Events

Every year the Sharannavaratri program is held in the temple with great pomp. In these Navarati festivals, Pradhana Utava, Banni Mantapa Utava and Pati Divas also have different decorations for the Kshetra idols. Decorations like turmeric, kumkum, sandalwood, tulsi, flower, butter, ornaments, panchavarna, gejevasa are done every year. Decoration on Vijayadashami with clothes from many places (from different towns).

This is how the gods are decorated. Every evening as well as a festival of various types of vehicles. Among them Surya Vahana, Chandavahana, Ashwavahana, Gajendra Moksha, Garudotsava, Hanumanthavana, Gopalakotsava, Shesha Vahanavatsava, Mohini Utsav, Mantashotava, Banni Mantapa Utsav. Thus festivals are held every day.

Chandra Mandalotava

If you look at the god above Chanda, you will get rid of health related mental problems, get the grace of Lord Ruddha, Narayan and get rid of health related problems. Chandra is behind Dhantantari.

Gajendra Moksha (Gajvahana Utsava)

This festival takes place with great pomp. Usually Gajagouri Vrat also falls at this time. One should listen to Gajendra Moksha every day. Those who cannot do that, if they see this Gajendra Moksha Utsav, they will get that result. As soon as Gajendra calls, he comes and protects us as God has advised. So seeing and doing this festival is special.

Ashva Vahanotsava

This festival signifies the mental suffering of a man. Man’s mind wanders everywhere. If we pray to God with attention like a horse’s eyes are tied to God, He will make us ready. Therefore, if God wants to receive a Tadekchitra, this festival should be done. So many people celebrate this chariot as a festival idol of God. We also have this festival.

SheshaVahanotsava

Sesha God fills egos in our mind as a mind regulator. They do destruction. For those who do not remember Shesha God, He destroys the ego and for those who remember Shesha God, He destroys the ego to serve God, and He gives us knowledge and bhakti by solving the sins of snakes from the debts of our fathers. Seeing such festivals, participating in the festival and serving these festivals is highly rewarding.

Mantapotsava

It is called Mantapotsava, Pallaki Utsav, Pearl Utsav, Kannadi Utsav, etc. Those who perform this festival become artificial. All told, it is a mistake to accidentally take advantage of someone else and not be able to reciprocate the www. (Grateful), this error is remedied by this. Home ailments and Vastu ailments are also solved.

Mohini Utsava

It is celebrated every Durgashtami. The festival is done by putting the form of Mohini to the Lord. The form of Maha Mahana, who killed many evildoers, protected the righteous, poisoned the demons, and made nectar for the deities, is the special form of the Lord. For those who perform this festival, those who see it get a maiden in the form of Mohini, many doshas related to marriage. This will solve it.

Garudotsava

God is known as Varado Vayuvahana. But Lord Aruna and Garuda performed many services for the Lord by climbing on Lord Garuda and traveling around the world, bringing nectar to Devas and giving it to the gods, known as Garutmanta. Both Hanuman and Garuda are seen on the right and left sides of the Lord. Before seeing God, one should see Hanuman and Garuda in front of the temple. After circumambulating the temple, one should offer salutations at the Garudagamba itself. Before any festival, the garuda flag is hoisted and the flag is lowered on the days after the festival to conclude the pooja.

Thus if one sees the Lord seated on Garuda, many difficult tasks will be completed and special grace will be obtained. Generally Garudotsav is the most important event in Tirupati and many places so here also we celebrate Garudotsav every year on Narasimha Jayanti, Garuda Panchami, Navratri occasion and many other festivals. Whoever does the darshan, touch and service of this festival will be protected by Lord Garuda, the intercessor.

Hanumanthutsava

Hanuman has many names like Sri Hanuman, Anjaneya Mahabala Parakrama. Lord Hanuman is the God who stretches out both hands and is ready to become an air vehicle. Normally, Lord Rama is kept for Hanuman festival. For those who have wisdom, strength, success, courage, fear, yoga, magic, mantra, yantra, tantra, remove the obstacles and save everything with his prowess by the grace of God. So if the devotees perform this festival, their wish will be fulfilled.

Gopalakautsava

This festival is dedicated to Gopalakrishna. It is a well-known fact that 33 crore deities reside in the cow. So seeing God sitting on such a cow gives special knowledge. It is very common for us to live on cow’s milk after mother’s milk, all the ingredients of cow are worthy of deva pooja. (yogurt, ghee, butter)

The cow that gives this is also known as Kamadhenu. God has created such Kamadhenu and given it to us. So we celebrate this Gopalakotsava in order to dedicate what He has given to Him. This utava can also be done as a remedy for the power, ability, or wrong done to a cow.

Banni Mantapa Utsava

It is celebrated as Vijayadashami. On Navratri…the decorations of the days…festivals, pujadis, fasting, Vrit, Niyama, lamp lighting are all performed with exuberance and this Vrit is celebrated for the victory of all the services done by the special worship of the Gods and Goddesses.Similarly Shamipatte is predominant in Pathas. It is said that it is worshiped on the day of Ayudha Puja and plucked out on Vijayadashami and worshiped in many ways to the Lord. Vijayadashami is the coronation day of Ramdev. The day of victory of many gods. Hence, this practice of kissing the bunny is proverbially called “bunny-gold”.
